Provence Mills Owners: Ready To Gather Together Again

Kara Stouffer and Slavenca Mararri, owners of Provence Mills Event Center in Girard, are coming back strong. To learn more about Provence Mills Event Center, check out its website.

What are some ways your business is rebounding from the effects of COVID-19?

We planned to open our new event center business in the summer of 2020 and started preparing prior to the COVID-19 outbreak. So honestly, no rebounding for us, we only anticipated delays for renovations. We managed to open just in time while some of the restrictions were being lifted. It did however limit our capacity for this year, for the number of guests our venue is able to accommodate. Normally, we can seat up to 300 people, but to accommodate social distancing regulations, we are hosting events at half capacity max. We are, as many others, adjusting to the new guidelines.

What’s been the reaction from customers so far?

So far, the reactions have been great. People are excited there is something new and updated in the area! With COVID-19 and so many other venues sadly closing, we have been able to provide a safe, social distanced space where brides and grooms can still host their weddings. We also have dates available for 2021/2022 if brides are looking to reschedule their wedding dates.

What impact has the outbreak had on you personally?

None personally, thank goodness. We have been fortunate enough to be able to continue to do what we love.

What advice are you sharing with the people you love?

Advice on COVID-19? Not much advice. This seems to be the new normal for now. Continue to stay patient and safe.
