East High’s Marrow: Spend More Time In Prayer, Be Smart

Brian Marrow, head football coach at East High School and dean of discipline for the Youngstown City Schools, is coming back strong. You can learn more about East at its website.

What are some ways the COVID-19 outbreak has affected your organization, and how is it rebounding?

It affected our team by not being able to monitor team workouts. Workouts are more effective in groups and more competitive. We are rebounding nicely since we are allowed to work out in group settings now.

How has the outbreak affected your personal life?

It really hasn’t affected my personal life. If anything, it has allowed me to spend more time with my family and to catch up on household chores.

What steps are you taking to come back strong?

Spending more time in prayer. I truly believe that Jesus is sending us this message by slowing everything with this pandemic.

What advice are you sharing with the people you love?

Spend more time in prayer, tell your loved ones that you love them more often. Be safe and smart.
