Dr. Ramy Fahim: ‘Stay Home, Be Safe, Trust Providers’

Dr. Ramy Fahim, a podiatric physician and surgeon with NOMS Ankle & Foot Care Centers, and his dog, Tyson, are hanging tough. You can learn more about Dr. Fahim at his bio on NOMS Healthcare’s website.

What are some ways the COVID-19 outbreak has changed your work life?

I have certainly limited my patient volume to prevent congregation of patients and the potential for the virus spreading.

Furthermore, I postponed all my elective and non-urgent surgeries.  Urgent cases are assessed on a case by case basis.  The goal is to treat patients and try to diffuse pressures from the hospitals.

How about your personal life?

Quarantining without seeing family members is a challenge but we all do our part to limit the spread.

What steps are you taking to hang tough?

Just offering support to fellow members of the community, friends and family.  We are all in this together.

What advice are you sharing with the people you love?

Stay home, be safe and trust that your healthcare providers are doing their best.
