LiB’s Market’s Ratners: Go With The Flow, Stay Positive

Ben and Lindsay Ratner, owners of LiB’s Market in Salem, are coming back strong, along with their family. For more information, visit the LiB’s website.

What are some ways your restaurant is rebounding from the effects of COVID-19?

We are giving more careful attention to expenses, as well as limiting and adjusting services to keep everyone safe and still be efficient. We’re also encouraging mobile apps to make order ahead services an option; curbside pick-up is available!

What’s been the reaction from customers so far?

They have been positive and supportive, and excited to be able to safely get the products they enjoy. During the shutdown, we offered delivery of local bagged coffee/tea, and continued to offer favorites for Taco Tuesday, Flatbread Friday and Sunday Brunch. We are grateful for the continued support!

What impact has the outbreak had on you personally?

For me, it’s brought a mix of gratitude and appreciation for the amount of support we received to keep our business going. I’ve also been processing the uneasy feeling that goes with having to adapt to many changes suddenly, due to the uncertainty of this situation.

What advice are you sharing with the people you love?

Try your best to remain optimistic, and go with the flow of things as these changes should only be temporary. A negative attitude won’t help any situation, so just do the best you can to stay positive throughout this process.
